1. The Information We Collect About You and How

We may collect the categories of Personal Information listed below about you in connection with your access and/or use of the Site. 

  • Communications Data. When you contact us for any reason, such as to express an interest in obtaining additional information about our services, or to direct questions or concerns about our services to us we will process your Personal Information. For example, if you contact us using the contact details posted on the Site, you may provide your full name, email address, telephone number and any other Personal Information in order to allow us to contact you and to process your request.

Depending on your interactions with the Site and us, and the permission you give us, your Personal Information may be collected, stored, disclosed, and processed by Lee Equity for the following purposes:

  1. Lee Equity needs to do so in order to enter into and perform a contract with you (for example, in order to provide our services and verify the information you provide);

  3. Lee Equity may need to do so in order to establish, exercise, or defend its legal rights or for the purpose of legal proceedings; or

4. When We Share Your Personal Information

Lee Equity may share your Personal Information with affiliates, to other people or non-affiliated companies (such as third parties), under the following circumstances:

  • For the purposes of management and administration of our business, in order to facilitate the provision and enhancement of services to you, and for the purpose of us receiving services (e.g. from our accountants, auditors, service providers, professional advisors, IT and communications providers or any entity we reasonably consider necessary for the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy). These third parties will be expected to be subject to confidentiality requirements that require them to only use your Personal Information as described.
  • We work with third party service providers to provide Site development, hosting, data storage, and Site maintenance. 6. How We Protect Your Information

  • Data Security. We use have implemented technical and organization measures, including certain physical, managerial, and technical safeguards (such as access controls), to protect the integrity and security of your Personal Information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us through the Site and you do so at your own risk. When you contact us about your Personal Information, you may be asked to provide evidence of your identity (e.g., driver’s license or passport). These types of safeguards are designed to ensure that only you, or someone authorized by you, has access to your file. If you are located in the EEA or UK, the period for which we will hold your Personal Information will vary and will be determined by the following criteria:

    1. Anonymous and aggregated data. Lee Equity may share anonymous or aggregated data in order to facilitate our business operations.     2. No automated decision-making. We do not use computer algorithms to make automated decisions based on your Personal Information. We may process some of your Personal Information automatically, with the goal of assessing certain personal aspects related to you (profiling), in order to comply with our legal or regulatory obligations, such as to combat money laundering or terrorism financing.
    3. Artificial intelligence: Lee Equity uses certain third-party AI systems solely for internal business functions (e.g., research) to help provide and improve our services. Lee Equity does not operate or maintain any proprietary AI systems or use Personal Information to train, develop, or improve such AI systems. As stated in Section 1(i), our use of AI systems does not involve automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Know: You have the right to request, twice in a 12-month period, that we provide (A) certain information about (1) the categories of Personal Information we have collected about you; (2) the categories of sources from which the Personal Information is collected; (3) the business or commercial purpose for collecting your Personal Information; and (4) the categories of third parties with whom we have shared your Personal Information; and/or (B) the specific pieces of Personal Information we have collected, used, and disclosed about you during the past 12 months.
    2. Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete certain Personal Information we have collected from and about you and to tell our service providers to do the same.
    3. Correction: You have the right to request that we correct or amend certain Personal Information we maintain about you if it is inaccurate.
    4. Limit: You have the right to request that we limit the use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information we have collected. To the extent we collect any Sensitive Personal Information from or about you, we will use it only for the purposes listed above in Section 1(e). As such, any Sensitive Personal Information that we collect does not come within this right to limit use and disclosure.
    5. Opt-out: You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your Personal Information to third parties and/or the sharing of your Personal Information for certain As noted in Section 1(a) above, Lee Equity does not sell or share Personal Information to or with third parties.
    6. Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to experience discriminatory treatment, and we will not discriminate against you or retaliate against you because you have exercised any CCPA privacy We do not use the fact that you have exercised or requested to exercise any CCPA rights for any purpose other than facilitating a response to your request.

    2. Verifying Your Requests. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your Personal Information or complying with your request. If we are successful in validating your identity, we will respond to your request within the time and in the manner required by CCPA. If we are unable to verify your identity, we will need to deny your request. We reserve the right to deny requests in certain circumstances, such as where we have a reasonable belief that the request is fraudulent.

      1. Verification Process. If you request to know, access, delete, and/or correct your Personal Information, we may require you to provide any of the following information: address, date of birth, unique personal identifier, state of residence, telephone number, email address, or details of a transaction. In addition, if you ask us to provide you with specific pieces of Personal Information, we may require you to sign a declaration under penalty of perjury that you are the individual whose Personal Information is the subject of the request. We will use the information you submit and the information we have in our systems to try to verify your identity and to match the Personal Information we have collected about you, if any, to your identity.
      2. Authorized Agent. If you designate an authorized agent to make an access or deletion request on your behalf, we may require you to (A) provide the authorized agent written permission to do so (e.g., via a notarized letter), and (B) verify your own identity directly with us (as described above) and confirm with us that you provided the authorized agent permission to submit the request.
    3. Additional California Privacy Disclosures.

      1. Do Not Track Signals. Your browser and other mechanisms may permit you to send do-not-track signals or other similar signals via your browser settings to express your preferences regarding online tracking. Due to the lack of any standard for how do-not-track should work on commercial websites, we do not currently respond to such signals.
      2. Shine the Light Notice. California residents have the right to request and obtain from us, once a year and free of charge, certain information about the categories of their Personal Information (if any) that we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes, including the names and addresses of all third parties with whom we shared your information for direct marketing purposes in the immediately preceding calendar If you are a California resident and would like to make such a request, please submit your request in writing to us using the contact information provided in Section 2(b), above.
